Richard joined the Office of the Auditor-General in August 2022. His main responsibilities are local authorities and their associated entities in the Waikato, Bay of Plenty, and Gisborne regions.
Richard has a background in local government planning and regulatory functions. He has held various roles in both the United Kingdom and New Zealand, including as Resource Consents Manager at Wellington City Council and Director of Planning and Regulatory Services at Upper Hutt City Council.
Before joining the Office, Richard was the Manager of the Standards and Regulations Team at the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority.
