Project Te Matapihi – structural engineering services for the central library
31 October 2022: We have written to the Chief Executive of Wellington City Council about the process the Council followed to procure structural engineering services for Project Te Matapihi – the repair of Wellington’s Central Library.
No financial interests in Hood Aerodrome decision
24 February 2022: We were asked to look into potential issues with a mayor and councillor voting on a plan for Hood Aerodrome. After considering the information we needed, we do not consider they had a financial interest in the decision.
Hutt South office lease arrangements
24 June 2021: We have replied to Chris Bishop MP about his request for us to inquire into the sublease arrangements between Ginny Andersen MP, the Labour Party Hutt South branch, and the New Zealand Professional Firefighters Union.

10 December 2018: We wrote to Kāpiti Coast District Council, setting out our expectations about due diligence and sound management, given the Council's intention to borrow money in order to set up investment funds.

25 September 2018: We have written to Greater Wellington Regional Council regarding public concerns about aspects of Wellington’s new bus network and services.
Managing the supply of and demand for drinking water
September 2018: We audited three district councils (Horowhenua District Council, Kāpiti Coast District Council, and Manawatu District Council) and one city council (Palmerston North City Council) to understand the challenges they face in supplying drinking water to their communities. We looked at what these four councils are doing to influence demand for drinking water and whether they are taking an integrated approach, using financial and non-financial methods.
Digital access to information and services: Learning from examples
June 2018: As part of our Information theme, we wanted to see whether the shift to providing digital information and services is resulting in benefits for New Zealanders. We looked at how three public entities provided digital information and services through their websites and/or mobile applications. The public entities that we looked at were the National Library of New Zealand, Greater Wellington Regional Council, and Quotable Value Limited.
