Do you know the impact of trade agreements on the public sector and how they affect public financial management systems in the Pacific?

This webinar aimed to build the understanding of the role of each part of the public financial management ecosystem in the Pacific Agreement on Closer Economic Relations (PACER) Plus’s work to support trade agreements.

Our discussion focused on the importance of systems and processes that strengthen national integrity, transparency, and accountability, and the role PACER Plus plays in achieving the ambition of these agreements.

Roy Lagolago (Head of Secretariat, PACER Plus) and his team shared how the work of PACER Plus supports trade regimes, and how PACER Plus uses technology to enhance transparency, prevent corruption, and streamline administrative processes.

This event was led by the Office of the Auditor-General of New Zealand but forms part of the advocacy and good governance programme of the Pacific Association of Supreme Audit Institutions (PASAI).

The series provides a forum for Pacific Supreme Audit Institutions, Public Service Commissions, Ombudsmen, and other interested public sector agencies to share knowledge and expertise about building strong integrity systems.
