The 2023 forums

We hosted online forums covering:

  • the economy (an update from Dr Caralee McLiesh);
  • large-scale transformational change;
  • using whānau-centred approaches to improve well-being;
  • views from the Ombudsman;
  • the Three Waters reforms;
  • councils' long-term plans; and
  • governing climate risk.

What we covered in 2022

The forums last year were well attended and feedback about their usefulness was positive. We covered:

  • internal and external audit (including the relationship with the auditor);
  • the Three waters reforms;
  • Māori/Crown relationships;
  • the Controller function and the Office of the Auditor-General's work programme;
  • performance reporting;
