The series provides a forum for Pacific Supreme Audit Institutions, Public Service Commissions, Ombudsmen, and other interested public sector agencies to share knowledge and expertise about building strong integrity systems.

For our final webinar for 2023, and in the lead up to anti-corruption day, we focused on the role that Pacific integrity agencies play in combating corruption.

We considered initiatives that are being implemented across the Pacific region to support the implementation of the Teieniwa vision and heard from people who are involved in responding to risks and contributing to prevention activities.

On Thursday 7 December from 1.30pm-3.00pm (New Zealand time), the Auditor-General of New Zealand and Secretary-General of the Pacific Association of Supreme Audit Institution (PASAI), hosted Marie Pegie Cauchois, Officer in Charge, United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, Pacific and Regional Anti-Corruption Adviser.

Marie shared with us issues she is working on to strengthen the system and support its integrity as well as activities across the region that could be replicated in other countries. She also introduced us to some of the teams she has been working with and we heard their stories about what they have achieved.
