How do you spot and address integrity issues before they spiral out of control? Public organisations must stay vigilant, recognising and acting on the early signs. By upholding core values and principles, even in challenging times, organisations can ensure accountability, make sound decisions, and build lasting trust with the public.

We heard from the Sport Integrity Commission Te Kahu Raunui about its experiences addressing integrity issues, what had gone well and what has not. Participants gained practical insights on influencing government levers to help drive integrity outcomes, and tips to enhance their organisation’s integrity practices. Auditor-General John Ryan was chair, and there was an opportunity for people to ask questions.

Public Sector Integrity Day is an annual opportunity to remind ourselves that building and maintaining a strong culture of integrity in the public sector is crucial to maintaining trust with New Zealanders.
