This figure shows a bar chart with four horizontal bars. The first bar shows that five out of 60 councils processed 100% of building consent applications within 20 working days, which is the statutory requirement. The second bar shows that 33 councils processed between 95% and 100% of these applications in that time frame, and the third bar shows that 22 councils processed fewer than 95% of building consent applications in that time. The fourth and final segment represents the seven councils for which we could not find usable information on building consent timeliness.
