The number of departmental multi-year appropriations (MYAs) is comparatively low and increased sedately between 2015/16 and 2022/23 (from a handful to about 20). But non-departmental MYAs increased from 59 by about 20 in 2016/17, by about 25 three years later, then up significantly between 2019/20 and 2020/21. There were 167 in 2022/23.
