Strategic Communications Partner

We’ve got an awesome opportunity for a Strategic Communications Partner to join our fabulous communications team. 

In this role, you’ll:

  • lead the development and implementation of our internal communications strategy – so we’re keen for big bold ideas;
  • provide high-quality strategic communications advice as a business partner to other groups in the Office;
  • develop content for different products or communication channels to leverage our work and increase influence and impact; and
  • provide collegial support and back-up for other Strategic Communication Partners as required.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write clearly and concisely in plain English;
  • excellent strategic and critical thinking skills (with the ability to see the big picture, define problems clearly, analyse issues, and give thorough, objective, and sound guidance and advice);
  • experience in dealing with the media;
  • proven experience in leading, developing, and implementing internal communication strategies; and then executing them; and
  • understand and experience with te ao Māori

Videography skills would be an added bonus.

A tertiary qualification or relevant industry experience in communications or a related discipline is required.
