Director, ISSP Implementation – two years fixed term

The Office of the Auditor-General | Te Mana Arotake (the Office) aims to improve trust and confidence in the public sector. Are you an experienced leader with a proven track record in delivering complex ICT programmes? Do you have experience with Cloud transitions and engaging with governance committees?

We’re looking for a senior programme leader to join our team and drive our ICT investment programme in a two-year fixed-term role for a Director, ISSP Implementation. In this role, you’ll be responsible for planning and executing the work programme for our Digital Strategy and Information Systems Strategic Plan (ISSP). This programme is a mix of must-do Cloud migration as well as business transformation work.

You’ll work closely with the Chief Information Officer to build on existing work and guide the programme through completion. You’ll also be responsible for leading the ISSP Team, ensuring that the Office has appropriate methods and standards.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • a proven track record in managing large-scale ICT and business transformation programmes;
  • extensive experience in ICT programme development and management;
  • experience in people-centred change management;
  • experience managing and leading a programme management function; and
  • relevant training or experience in Agile methodology and practice.

A tertiary qualification will also be an advantage.

You must be able to gain and maintain a Confidential national security clearance. Ordinarily, this means that you must be a New Zealand citizen, be a permanent resident, or hold a current residency class visa and intend to become a citizen when eligible. The expected salary is between $190,000 and $210,000 per annum.
