Data
We're working to make some of our data available online. Please give us feedback.
How we collect data from annual reports
Public organisations' published annual reports are the main source of our data on financial and service performance.
Reforms of vocational education
Our interactive graphs show a high-level overview of the financial health, service performance, and other performance information from before and during the vocational education reforms. As it becomes available, we will add data from after the reforms.
Reforms of the health sector
Our interactive graphs show a high-level overview of the financial health, service performance, and other performance information of district health boards before the health sector reforms. As it becomes available, we will add data from Te Whatu Ora.
Schools data
Sometimes, the audit identifies matters that warrant the attention of readers of the school's annual report. This data series, starting in 2019, shows the types of matters raised, for which schools, which years, and whether the matter features in the school's audit report.
Fraud reporting data
Since we published our fraud reports in 2011 and 2012, public entities have reported further incidents of fraud to their appointed auditors, who have passed the information on to us.

Have you seen something in the data that looks like a mistake? You might be right, because we have manually entered some of the data. We've checked it, but you might spot something that we haven't yet.
