Long-term plan bulletins
Preparing a long-term plan is a significant task. There are important strategies and policies to be reviewed and underlying information to be considered.
However, the opportunities in planning for the long term, being transparent, and engaging with the community cannot be underestimated, particularly in the current environment.
The risks and issues presented by Covid-19 have added complexity to all councils’ planning processes, and the challenges councils face as their communities recover are likely to continue.
To assist councils with preparing the 2021-31 long-term plans, we have produced bulletins on the following topics:
- Bulletin 1 - Preparing for long-term plans
- Bulletin 2 - Financial and infrastructure strategies: The building blocks of your long-term plan
- Bulletin 3 - Good asset management (including information) to underpin your long-term plan
- Bulletin 4 - Assumptions underpinning your long-term plan
- Bulletin 5 - Covid-19 assumptions in your long-term plan
- Bulletin 6 - What the audit report on your long-term plan consultation document means
