Russell Bates

Russell leads the Parliamentary Group, responsible for managing the Office’s relationships with Parliament’s select committees and with government departments, Crown entities, State-owned enterprises, and tertiary education institutions. Before joining us, Russell held various leadership roles, including General Manager Policy at Te Aka Whai Ora, Deputy Director Policy at the Office of Treaty Settlements, and Policy Manager at the Ministry for Primary Industries.
