About the Global Audit Leadership Forum

The Global Audit Leadership Forum is an annual opportunity for the Auditors-General of 19 countries to meet and discuss auditing in a global context.

Shanghai, 2019

In 2019, the Forum was held in Shanghai. The topics discussed were big data and auditing and improving public accountability through environmental auditing.

Luxembourg, 2018

In 2018, the Forum was held in Luxembourg. The topics discussed were carrying out performance audits in a political context and the challenges and opportunities of communicating audit findings in a digital world.

The European Court of Auditors has published a special GALF edition of their journal, which includes an interview with Assistant-Auditor General Mike Scott.

Copenhagen, 2017

In 2017, the Forum was held in Copenhagen. The topics discussed were strategy work in Supreme Audit Institutions and evaluation of the audit work. 

Dürnstein, 2016

In 2016, the Forum was held in Dürnstein. The main theme was "Audit for sustainable development: Preconditions for and impact of Supreme Audit Institutions". 

Wellington, 2015

In 2015, the Office hosted the Forum in Wellington. Attendees discussed what the role of a public auditor could be by 2030.

Mexico City, 2014

The first Global Audit Leadership Forum was held in Mexico City, in 2014. One of the themes discussed was the role of Supreme Audit Institutions in global development.
